Replay Relay

Terms of Use

Last updated
The short version: Replay Relay removes captures from OneDrive once Photos has them. That's what it's for, so choose your clean-up settings with care and keep backups of anything precious.

About these terms

These terms cover the Replay Relay app for Mac and this website, both made by SlinkyPixels (“we”, “us”). By using either, you agree to them.

If you got Replay Relay from the Mac App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, and these terms add to it. Where the two disagree, Apple’s agreement wins. Purchases and refunds through the Mac App Store are handled by Apple.

What Replay Relay does

Replay Relay copies your Xbox screenshots and clips from OneDrive into your Photos library, then removes them from OneDrive. That’s the point of the app, so please read how it works before you set it up:

  • A capture is only removed from OneDrive after Photos has saved it.
  • With Move to recycle bin, removed captures can be restored from OneDrive’s recycle bin for as long as Microsoft keeps them there, usually 30 days.
  • With Delete permanently, removed captures can’t be recovered from OneDrive.
  • With Delete HDR .jxr copies on, the .jxr copies of HDR screenshots are removed without being imported, because Photos can’t open them. The PNG copy is imported as usual.

You choose these settings, and it’s up to you to keep your own backups of anything you can’t afford to lose.

Microsoft and Apple

Replay Relay works with your Microsoft account, your OneDrive and your Mac’s Photos library. Your use of those is covered by Microsoft’s and Apple’s own terms.

Replay Relay relies on services we don’t control. If Microsoft or Apple change them, parts of the app may stop working until we can update it.

Using Replay Relay

Use Replay Relay for your own captures, and not to break the law or the terms of the services it connects to. Don’t copy, modify, or try to extract the app’s source code, except where the law allows it.

No warranty

We work hard to make Replay Relay reliable, but it’s provided “as is”, without any warranty, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss of data, including captures removed from OneDrive or not imported into Photos, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you’re a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Trademarks

Xbox, OneDrive and Microsoft are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Mac, macOS, Photos, iCloud and the Mac App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Replay Relay isn’t affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Microsoft or Apple.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Replay Relay after that, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
