Your Xbox captures, sorted into Photos.
Your Xbox uploads screenshots and clips to OneDrive. Replay Relay moves them into your Photos library, in an album for each game, and clears them out of OneDrive so they don't fill up your storage.
A relay, run from your menu bar.
Your Xbox already uploads to OneDrive. Replay Relay carries your captures from there into Photos.
Xbox
You capture a moment. Your Xbox uploads it to OneDrive.
OneDrive
Captures pile up in the Xbox folders, eating into your storage.
Replay Relay
Checks for new captures every 15 minutes, hour or day.
Photos
Each one lands in its game’s album. Then OneDrive is cleared.
An album for every game, without the admin.
Each capture's filename starts with the game it came from. Replay Relay matches that against the albums you already have, so captures from the same game always end up together.
- Names are tidied
- Trademark symbols, punctuation and “The” are ignored, so “Halo 5_ Guardians” finds your “Halo 5 Guardians” album.
- Sequels stand alone
- A number after the name means a different game: Minecraft Dungeons II gets its own album.
- Short names cover the series
- Keep one album called “Call of Duty” and every Call of Duty capture goes into it.
- Your names stick
- Rename an album in Photos and new captures still find it, as long as the name still matches the game.

Nothing leaves OneDrive until Photos has it.
Removed only after import
A capture leaves OneDrive only once Photos has saved it. If an import fails, the capture stays put and the menu tells you why.
Recycle bin, or gone for good
Send imported captures to OneDrive’s recycle bin, recoverable for 30 days, or delete them permanently to free the space straight away.
Only the capture folders
Replay Relay works in the folders your Xbox uploads to and leaves the rest of your OneDrive alone. Pick different folders in Settings if yours have moved.
HDR, handled
With HDR on, your Xbox saves each screenshot twice. Photos can’t open the .jxr copy, so the PNG is imported and the .jxr is cleared out too.
Straight to your Mac
Captures download directly from OneDrive to your Mac. There’s no Replay Relay server in the middle and no account to create.
Signed in with Microsoft
You sign in on Microsoft’s own page, so Replay Relay never sees your password. The sign-in is kept in your Mac’s Keychain.
Set it up once. Then forget it’s there.
Replay Relay lives in your menu bar and gets on with it. You only open it to check how it's doing, or to change how it works.
Ready when you sit down. It opens at login and checks as soon as your Mac wakes, so last night’s captures are already in Photos.
No downloading, no dragging. You never open OneDrive or move a file. Screenshots and clips go straight into the right album.
Quiet until it needs you. No Dock icon and no window to keep open. Open the menu to see when it last checked. If an import fails, it tells you why.
Clear out OneDrive. Fill up Photos.
Get Replay Relay from the Mac App Store, for Macs running macOS 26 Tahoe or later.
